For over 10 years, Jamphonic has been playing the best of English and American rock and blues classics from the 60's and 70's including their take on such songs as "Walk on the Wild Side", a reggae version of "Eleanor Rigby" and "I shot the Sheriff" mixed with "You Sexy Mother ......." etc. Original songs are also part of the repertoire.

Of British Nationality, he comes from the ledgendary Isle of Wight where he was a guitarist and singer with "Hobo" and "The Flying Rythm Brothers". Seduced by France, he decided to settle there in the early 90's. Since then he has played many venues in the region and was part of different groups, "Les Gumes", "Son of a Gun" and "Dust".)

A bassist from the Vendée, He began his playing career with Alan in "Les Gumes " and "Son of a Gun". After a short musical break, he joined "Jamphonic" where he quickly became adept at improvising as, during the gigs, the guitarists have a habit of throwing in new songs as the feeling takes them !!! Thinking on his feet has become second nature !!

Drum

Jean Marie (Boum Boum) is a highly versatile and well respected drummer in the region. He is the heartbeat of the band, whether it be with sticks; brushes or percussion.

Saxophone - Flute - Harmonica - Irish Flute

Another British musician,playing saxophone, harmonica, flute or tin whistle, Tom brings a wealth of experience in blues playing to Jamphonic's overall sound.

What's British Blues ?

 

British blues is a form of music derived from American blues that originated in the late 1950s and which reached its height of mainstream popularity in the 1960s, when it developed a distinctive and influential style dominated by electric guitar and made international stars of several proponents of the genre including The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin.
